Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war, the NB8 countries have demonstrated leadership in supporting Ukraine. They not only provide significant military assistance proportional to their GDP but also develop new models of sustainable cooperation in political, military, and security spheres—crucial for our fight for sovereignty and peace.
On 18 December 2024, the Nordic-Baltic – Ukraine Forum took place in Stockholm, Sweden, bringing together representatives from Ukraine and the Nordic and Baltic countries. This event marked a significant moment in strengthening our partnership. Sahaidachnyi Security Center was an official partner of the event, which was organized by the independent foreign policy and international security think tank “Ukrainian Prism” and the Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS).
Forum Goals
The purpose of the forum was to establish a regular platform for regional consultations and discussions between experts and government representatives from the Nordic and Baltic countries and Ukraine on key challenges on our shared agenda:
- Defence cooperation and security guarantees: regional approaches;
- Political and diplomatic tools for achieving a just and lasting peace;
- Ukraine’s future in the EU: reforms, reconstruction, and recovery.
Ukrainian Participants
