The Sahaidachnyi Security Center team is conducting a strategic advocacy mission in Washington, D.C., aimed at countering the threat of fading international attention to Ukraine and ensuring the continuity of its military support.
This mission is a joint initiative of our organization with the NGO “Decolonization”,” Razom for Ukraine, with the support of the Hudson Institute and With Honor Action.
During meetings with representatives of the U.S. Congress, think tanks, and businesses, the Ukrainian side is advocating for a paradigm shift: abandoning illusory hopes for Russia’s democratization in favor of a new strategy based on holding the aggressor accountable and building an effective security architecture where there is no place for imperialism.
Additionally, Olena Davlikanova presented the findings of the research “Russia 2032 Scenarios: A Decade Post Full–Scale Invasion of Ukraine” to the esteemed American community.
It is worth noting that the trip is taking place against the backdrop of increasingly complex advocacy and challenges in maintaining attention on Ukraine in the United States.
“It is important to understand that maintaining attention on Ukraine is becoming more difficult, but we are working towards results, and there is no time to stop. We clearly articulate that true peace is possible not through the illusion of Russia’s democratization, but that continuous military assistance to Ukraine is an investment in global security, not just aid to one country,” comments Olena Davlikanova, an Associate Senior Fellow at the Sahaidachnyi Security Center, on the mission.
