The Sahaidachnyi Security Center actively promotes the interests of Ukrainian civil society in the international arena, leveraging a strong presence and an extensive network of contacts in the United Kingdom. Our experience and expertise help Ukrainian initiatives to resonate effectively within the British political, security, and media landscapes, laying favorable groundwork for important decisions beneficial to Ukraine.
Successful Advocacy Missions with Our Support in Spring 2025
A relevant example of our work was the support for an international advocacy mission of the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation in May 2025.
We shared our understanding of the British context, helped refine their appeals for maximum impact, and supported the establishment of key connections. The Sahaidachnyi Security Center accompanied and helped coordinate a series of important non-parliamentary events for the mission, including engagements with the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), and Imperial College London. Thanks to the support of our Associate Expert in the United Kingdom, Polina Istomina, media support for the Foundation was also secured, including participation in The Telegraph podcast.
“The involvement of the Sahaidachnyi Security Center team enabled a well-organized visit to Britain and maximized results for advocating Ukrainian interests and developing the century-long British-Ukrainian partnership,” stated Maksym Kostetskyi, Head of the International Department of the Foundation.
Our Center also provided support to Lesia Orobets and the NGO “Price of Freedom” in advocating for the Sky Shield initiative in the United Kingdom, strengthening the voice in support of bolstering air defence assistance from the United Kingdom.
