On February 26, a working meeting took place in Kyiv with a delegation of Members of the European Parliament who visited Ukraine to reaffirm their unwavering support.
The main topics of the discussion included the current situation on the frontlines, strategic challenges for Ukraine, and the prospects for international support amid recent shifts in US policy.
The head of the Sahaidachnyi Security Center, Lesia Ogryzko, participated in the meeting, emphasizing the urgent need to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities, particularly in financing the Ukrainian defense industrial complex. Additionally, she highlighted the critical moment for both Ukraine and Europe, calling for more decisive actions from the so-called Coalition of the Willing in supporting Ukraine:
“International support remains critically important for Ukraine given the geopolitical turbulence of recent weeks. Therefore, the issues of frozen Russian assets, Ukraine’s integration into NATO, strengthening the sanctions regime, and ensuring the air shield of partners over parts of Ukraine not only remain relevant but have become even more significant.”
The meeting served as an important platform for dialogue, and its outcomes will contribute to further coordination of efforts and strengthening of international support for Ukraine amidst the ongoing war.
