On February 4, 2025, the “Policy Making: From Problem to Solution” course concluded. Designed to enhance the qualifications of civil servants and policy professionals in the defense sector, the course covered all stages of the policy development, implementation, and evaluation cycle, providing participants with a systematic understanding of policy formulation processes.
The course was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Ministry for Strategic Industries of Ukraine, and the Change Support Office of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. It was organized by Sahaidachnyi Security Center with the support of the Reforms Support Office of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Foundation for Support of Reforms in Ukraine. It is part of the Defense Advisor Support Program funded by the UK Government.
The program contributed to improving decision-making and governance effectiveness in policymaking structures. Participants gained both theoretical and practical insights into crafting effective policy solutions.
“Education is not just about acquiring knowledge; it is the key to building a strong community. That is exactly what we are doing in the defense sector. Ukraine needs highly skilled professionals in the public sector who can effectively support the country’s defense capabilities — that is what our team at Sahaidachnyi Security Center is working on,” — said Lesia Ogryzko, the project’s implementation lead.
