Michael (Mykhailo) Goldshtein is an experienced Project Manager with a background in Ukraine-related programmes. He is responsible for establishing international cooperation between Ukrainian security actors and their foreign counterparts, as well as strengthening and expanding existing frameworks, with a particular focus on the Nordic-Baltic region.
Michael has extensive experience in social and humanitarian activities in Ukraine and abroad. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he has been actively involved in pro-Ukrainian civil society in Israel. As part of his work, he has researched Russian interference in Israeli domestic affairs through unconventional means, publishing his findings in Israeli and Ukrainian media. He has also participated in numerous psychological missions to Ukraine and Poland as a team lead and interpreter, helping Israeli experts share their knowledge and expertise with Ukrainian managers, teachers, and social workers.
Michael completed a research internship at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) in Tel Aviv, focusing on the Russo-Ukrainian War and its implications for global security. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, majoring in Political Science and minoring in European Studies and Conflict Management and Resolution. He also holds the rank of Staff Sergeant (Res.) and completed 30 months of military service.
Michael is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at Leiden University in The Hague, specialising in Crisis and Security Management.
