
Jana Kiyaschenko-Podhostnik previously worked as a Defence Analytics Intern at the Snake Island Institute, where she analysed military doctrines, military-industrial systems, battlefield trends, and produced OSINT-based assessments on drones, air defence, and military innovation.
She also worked as a Defence & Security Research Trainee at Finabel – European Army Interoperability Centre in Brussels, where she authored published research on European defence and EU-NATO cooperation.
She holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Salzburg and is completing an MSc in International Politics at KU Leuven, with her thesis focused on NATO’s operational engagement on Russian hybrid warfare in Moldova and Georgia.
