Valeriya is a Brussels-based EU advocacy specialist with a background in the energy security of supply, Ukraine’s reconstruction, and EU accession negotiations.

She assisted the Council of European Energy Regulators as a Coordinator for the Electricity Working Group in Ukraine and Moldova’s power system emergency synchronisation with the Continental Europe Power System in 2022. Her professional career in the EU-UA relations started in the capacity of a State Expert on European Integration in the Ukrainian government. Since 2022, she has been continuously following the European communique and defence and security regulatory developments in Brussels to understand where civil society input may be most helpful and actionable.

Valeriya holds a master’s degree in European Politics and Governance from the College of Europe, as well as in Public Policy from the Kyiv School of Economics. She received her Bachelor’s degree in History from the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, and she speaks English and French.
