Senior Analyst

Dr. Mykola Nazarov is a Ukrainian expert specialising in national resilience, civil–military cooperation, and Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration. His research also focuses on Ukraine’s recovery and security cooperation with the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8).

He is a Senior Analyst at the Sahaidachnyi Security Center, and a Research Fellow at the International Centre for Defence and Security (ICDS) in Tallinn, Estonia. Previously, he worked as Lead Expert on National Resilience at the GLOBSEC Kyiv Office. From 2021 to 2023, he contributed as an expert to the Resilient Ukraine programme, implemented by ICDS with Estonian development cooperation support.

Dr. Nazarov co-authored the European Parliament study Mapping the Peacetime Reconstruction Needs of Ukraine (2026) and authored National Resilience and Post-war Reconstruction of Ukraine (Springer, 2025). His work connects academic research with practical policy recommendations on resilience, recovery, and regional security. 

Mykola holds a PhD in political science from the Kharkiv National University, and Doctor of Science (DSc) degree from Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University. He participates as an invited speaker in international conferences and seminars and frequently contributes to expert debates in Ukrainian and international media.
